The 7th South America Agriculture Forum will be held on September 5 and 6, 2019. Based on the theme “From Production to the Market - Global and Sustainable,” the intention is to intensify the discussions on the transversal agribusiness trends that impact production and consumption, such as supply and demand, technology and logistics, health, market and trade policies. The question to be answered: how to remain efficient and competitive in an increasingly globalized geopolitical environment that suffers constant and intense transformations?

Founder and Managing Director of Trade Strategies. Emily comes from a career in trade diplomacy, having led relations with the European Union for Apex-Brasil, a Brazilian export promotion and investment attraction agency, and acting as France's adjunct trade adidas in Brazil. As a government relations consultant, she has experience in accompanying companies and class entities regarding the European decision making process. Emily specializes in trade policy, agriculture, and sanitary and phytosanitary regulation.
Edwini Kessie has a Doctorate Degree in Law from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia and Masters' Degrees in Law from the University of Toronto, Canada and the University of Brussels, Belgium and a Bachelor's Degree in Law from the University of Ghana. He is admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Courts of England & Wales, New South Wales, Australia and Ghana. Dr. Kessie has been a staff member of the World Trade Organization (WTO) since January 1995.
Dr. Waren Preston holds a master's and doctoral degree in agricultural economics from Purdue University, and a dairy science degree from Ohio State University. He is currently Deputy Chief Economist for the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), where he has served as a senior professional since 2015. Preston has experience in analyzing government policies and programs for agriculture, advising the department on decision-making that economically affects the US food and production system, as well as producers.
Susan
Sutherland holds a master's degree in agricultural economics from the
University of Illinois, where she also majored in the same specialty. She is
currently executive director at CME Group (Chicago Stock Exchange). She was
also an account executive at Man Financial and chief marketing officer and
economist at the Chicago Chamber of Commerce. She also worked as a senior
analyst at Quaker Oats (a Pepsico group company).
She holds a postgraduate degree in Negotiation and Finance from IAE Business School and UCA. Graduated from Fundación Flor's MED Program. She began her career in agribusiness 20 years ago at a multinational grain exporter, being the first female cereal operator on the Rosario Stock Exchange (ARG). His experience with different companies in the sector allowed her to have an integral view of the entire production chain, from the field to the export, including the retail business.
Ali Saifi is Brazilian, born in São Bernardo (SP) and graduated in Business Administration from the Methodist University. He is the executive director of Cdial Halal, a halal certification company, vice president of the Islam Disclosure Center for Latin America (Cdial), vice president of the Brazil Iraq Chamber of Commerce. He is also an EML (European Muslim League) peace ambassador and member of the International Muslim Minority Community (IMMC).
